Established in 1946, Jones Brothers is a family run business.  At the end of World War 2, four brothers decided to combine their skills and bricklayers Fred and Wallace, joiner Arch and Bert who was office trained formed the partnership of Jones Brothers.  A further brother Ralph joined in the early sixties replacing Arch who left to form his own business, and Wallace who sadly died in 1966.

In 1980 the control of the firm was transferred to Fred's three sons, Harold, Terry and Robert.  In 2001 Harold and Terry retired leaving the control of the company to Robert and son Chris, and Harold and Terry's sons, Nigel and Andrew.  Rob's daughter Julie and son Matthew also employed with the company.

Robert and Chris control commercial aspects with Nigel and Andrew overseeing contracts with a hands on approach.

Our Philosophy

Whilst always looking for improvement our objective is to remain amongst the most reputable builders in the area, growing steadily whilst maintaining the personal touch of a family run business.  Our aim is to carry out work to the complete satisfaction of our clients, this must take priority over profit.  The company will continue to employ the best managers, consultants and labour available.  It is important that we maintain the reputation that has taken over half a century to achieve as a building company that are at home with all aspects of modern construction.
