About History Company Profile Present Position

At the end of World War 2, four brothers, who before the hostilities had worked for their father, decide that due to his retirement they would combine their skills and in 1946 bricklayers Fred and Wallace, joiner Arch and Bert who was office trained formed the partnership of Jones Brothers.

Much of their early work was renovating Public Houses for the Border Breweries in North & Mid Wales.  A close bond was then established with Oswestry R.D.C and several Council housing developments followed.

A further brother Ralph joined in the early sixties, replacing                                                Arch who left to form his own business, and Wallace who                                                    sadly died in 1966.

In 1980 the control of the firm was transferred to Fred's three sons, Harold, Terry and Robert.  With further family members, sons Nigel, Andrew and Chris and daughter Julie also employed and an integral part of the company.

In June 2001 Harold and Terry retired, leaving the control of the company to Robert, and Sons Chris, Nigel and Andrew.
